Untitled Body Abstraction 01 is a self portrait; flesh fragmented, spliced and layered into rippling patterns and mutable polyforms. Mutant anatomies are an expression of anxiety in times of upheaval and fluctuating boundaries, for example, the industrial revolution producing gothic horrors like Frankenstein. This is a chimera for a digital era where human physicality is disembodied from space into virtual landscapes - surveilled, shaped, replicated.
